Takahe
The flightless takahē, the world’s largest living rail, is endemic to New Zealand, inhabiting alpine tussock grasslands and moving to sub-alpine scrub and beech forests in winter. Thanks to conservation, they are now found on offshore islands and mainland reserves across both islands.
Mammalian predators and competition with deer for tussock grass threaten takahē. Despite these challenges, conservation efforts have increased their population to around 500, though they remain Nationally Vulnerable.

Why Merino?
Merino wool is a natural wonder, offering unparalleled comfort and performance. Unlike ordinary wool, merino fibres are much finer, making them incredibly soft, breathable, and fast-drying—perfect for everyday wear or outdoor adventures. Its natural antibacterial properties help resist odour, keeping you feeling fresh for longer. What’s more, our merino is sourced right here in New Zealand, ensuring premium quality while supporting local farming. With merino, you’re choosing a fabric that’s as sustainable as it is exceptional.
