The Father’s Day gift that helped inspire Conservation Socks

Father’s Day is officially one month away, and Conservation Socks will be offering free shipping in the lead up to it.

Father's Day is an important date for Conservation Socks. Over the years I have gifted many pairs of socks to my Father and Step-Father. This is because they fit within a young adult / student budget and I know they will be used. It was through this annual shopping ritual that I noticed the lack of NZ bird representation in the sock options and started thinking about creating Conservation Socks. 

This also coincides with my first proper marketing campaign push. 

I have been a busy little kiwi creating promotional reels for the occasion. The first reels I created for Conservation Socks were made using PowerPoint, with the intention of eventually graduating to proper video editing software as the business grew and funds allowed. However, these slightly janky .ppt reel creations have grown on me, so I have decided to embrace them as part of the Conservation Socks brand personality. I like that they look a unpolished and human-made in a world full of AI-generated videos.
